Abstract
Kawasaki disease (KD) is a systemic vasculitis that may cause coronary artery complications. KD is usually not combined with parotitis. We experienced a rare case of KD with cervical lymphadenitis and parotitis. A 6-years-old boy presented to the hospital with chief complaint of fever lasting for 3 days with left parotid and cervical swelling. He was treated with intravenous antibiotics, but his symptoms showed no improvement. On 4th day of admission, both conjunctival injection and hand, foot redness and swelling was developed. Echocardiography and laboratory evaluation suggested diagnosis of KD. After applying second intravenous immunoglobulin and high dose aspirin, his symptoms improved.
